Hi there!
I am back again with some great news for you. Since it’s now nearly finished I decided to share the building process of our brand-new control room here at Orthogonal Records.
We put a lot of thought into the acoustic design of this room and verified every step with proper measurements. This enables me to exactly show you what can be done to achieve a proper control room acoustics in a rather small room of 14m² (33m³).
As I suppose such dimensions are quite common for a typical home studio setup, you might be interested in exactly how the naked room (first pic) has been converted into a full-fledged control room (second pic) and, more importantly, what that conversion did to the room’s acoustics.
So I’d suggest you follow us here and at our other social media channels to stay tuned. Articles in this series are scheduled to appear every Wednesday evening. The first article will provide you with an outline of the whole series, a description of the tools that we used as well as some preliminary thoughts on the acoustic design.
The series will start next week and I am very much looking forward to meeting you there.
All the best,
Markus
